Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn't answered here then feel free to get in touch :)

I've never made a flower before, will I be able to do it?

Absolutely, we break everything down into step by step instructions and you can ask as many questions as you need to. While there is always room for firsts, we've taught hundreds of people over the years and everyone has always left having made a flower. This said, we encourage you to work at a pace that is enjoyable for you so don't ever worry if you don't finish, we'll make sure you have all the instruction you need to carry on after class

When will you run workshops in person again? Can I book you for my event / party / programme?

We plan to start teaching again in person in 2022 when all being well it will be safe and enjoyable for everyone to sit together in a room and share a pack of biscuits.

We are not currently taking any new in person workshop bookings. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to find out when venue based workshops return

Are the workshops suitable for children? Do you have an age limit?

Our classes are designed and paced for adults so you have to be 16+ to attend a class in person or online.

However if you have or know a crafty teenager that would love to learn flower making with you, you can take the class together and they are so welcome to join you as an additional person for our online workshops.

I booked on and now can't make the class :(

Can I swap dates?

Yes if there is space on the same flower on another date we can swap your booking.

If the class is full we can put you on a wait list and if a place comes up then we'll let you know.

Can you send me a recording?

We want our classes to be safe spaces for people to chat and catch up so we do not record our workshops

How about written instructions?

A huge amount of work goes into producing our written instructions. We only create these for our kits, it is not feasible for us to create a set of written instructions for each workshop

***Please note all workshop places are non refundable and non transferable ***

When do I need to book my online workshop place by? and when will I receive my materials?

Bookings close on Thursday each week at midnight to give your materials a chance to arrive in time.

All being well your materials will arrive 1-2 working days before class. Materials are sent via MyHermes courier so we can track them.  If there are any problems with your delivery do let us know by 10am the day before your class.

I haven't received my Zoom link - what shall I do?

Zoom links are sent out the day before or the morning of the class. Please check your junk mail before emailing us because sometimes it ends up there.

Please contact us at least an hour before class if you haven't received it and we will resend it

How many flowers will I make in an online workshops?

This varies depending on the size and the complexity of the flower. See the product description for each individual workshop for further details

Sessions are 2.5 hours which is typically long enough to complete at least one flower in full.

Can I book a workshop place or private class if I live outside of the UK?

Sorry we are unable to do international delivery at this time

Are workshop places refundable / transferable?

Unfortunately workshop places are non-refundable and non-transferable except in the unlikely event that we have to cancel a class.

If you can no longer make a session feel free to give your materials to someone else when they arrive - just be sure to pass on the Zoom code when it is sent out.

If you run into technical difficulties within the class please log out and log back in when you can and we'll catch you up

I'm a bit nervous about taking a class - what can I expect?

Our classes are super friendly and relaxed. There tends to be a mix of newbies and people who craft with us on the regular. You can chat and interact as much or as little as you are comfortable with, there is zero expectation. What we love about this craft is that you don't have to get everything precise and 'right' to make something beautiful, we'll teach you how to create your own versions of the flowers.  We encourage you to work at your own pace and will repeat instructions and demos as many times as you need us to . If you want to chat anything through before hand that will make you feel more comfortable about attending drop Bee a line

"Lovely to meet you today, your flowers are probably the most beautiful thing I have seen in my life and getting to have a go at making one was just amazing! You are also a very patient teacher!!

Thank you"
